This family-friendly event is hosted by the Fairfax Parks & Recreation Department and takes place alongside the beautiful Lamoille River in the heart of our village. Participants can choose from a 5K Run, a 5K Walk, or a 10K Run and will receive a cooked to order post-race omelet!
Proceeds benefit the Fairfax Community Center Renovation Project, bringing families together to work, play and grow!
A central Vermont tradition continues this summer Aug. 16th 2019 with the 14th annual Last Mile Ride to support end-of-life care for patients and their families. Held at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT, the two-day, family-friendly event features a motorcycle ride, 5K run, and 1- and 2.5-mile walks to raise funds for palliative care and special services. RunVermont is pleased to announce the return of Pine Street Mile in conjunction with Art Hop. This is a 1-mile, point-to-point run down Pine Street in Burlington. Bib pick-up at Skirack; the race starts near The Soda Plant, close to the intersection of Pine and Maple Streets.
A Challenge Mile, geared towards runners going for a “fast” time.
A Merry Mile, geared towards those looking to have fun running with friends and family. Walkers welcome in the Merry Mile.
A Youth Mile for youth 14 and under.

– New this year — Virtual Mile. Can’t make the race? Then run or walk a mile anywhere or anytime from August 31 through September 9 and e-mail us your finish time.
The Challenge, Merry, and Youth Miles will all be chip timed.
The first 100 registered runners in the Challenge and Merry Miles (combined) will receive a Pine Street Mile Tech Shirt.
Join us for a fun 5K out and back on the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail. Kids are welcome! The race will begin at the entrance of the Rail Trail by the American Legion. The race path will be straight out and back. There will be free apple cider and donuts for all participants!
Check-in will be from 8-8:30AM, race will start at 8:45AM.
Presented by the Friends of the Platt Memorial Library, The Orchard Run is kicking off Shoreham’s Apple Fest making it a great day out for the whole family! Lunch will be available — at a discounted rate for runners — as well as a farmers’ market, our annual Apple Pie Contest, kids activities and live music. Apple Fest starts immediately after the race and runs from noon to 4 PM.
There will be a 5k run/walk and 10k run on the morning of Apple Fest starting on School Road in front of the Gazebo.
All are welcome and after the run there will be all the fun of Apple Fest to stay and enjoy. Come savor the beauty of the apple orchard countryside of Shoreham, Vermont on this great loop course!
This will not be an officially timed race though there will be a large clock at the finish for you to time yourself. Prizes will be awarded. All proceeds go towards the Platt Memorial Library.
