The Ronald McDonald House Charities will be hosting the People's United Bank Vermont City Marathon Pre-Race Pasta Dinner.

Join them and enjoy a hearty pasta dinner, prize raffle and this year's speaker Newton Baker as you prepare for the big race.

Newton has run 337 marathons; run 22 straight National 24 Hour Championships, winning his age group 14 times. He has run Vermont 100 Trail run 5 times and run length and width of VT. He was an elementary school teacher for 35 years and has 4 children aged 17 -45 and 3 grandchildren aged 11-17.

Newton is the second oldest to cross USA in the USATF 2015 Race Across USA. He is a prostate cancer survivor, has spent the last 15 years living with active Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and neurological voice condition, Spasmodic Dysphonia.

He is an esteemed member of the RunVermont Hall of Fame and has run 26 of the 27 Vermont City Marathons- finishing all but one due to a broken ankle in March of that year, but started and ran the first 3.4 miles
