Lake Champlain Women's Running Camp Testimonials I had been anxious for camp from the time I received the 'gift to attend' from (my husband). But, I had no idea I would come away with so much from the experience. I was surprised when tears rolled down my cheeks as I sat on the airplane reflecting upon the week. I am not typically one to cry. Camp had an emotional impact on me and re-ignited a flame that held a mere flicker when I arrived. - 2006 Participant I cannot explain the transformation that took place during my week at camp. But, I can tell you that it came at a perfect time for me and was an experience I will never forget. My encounters at camp will certainly impact what I do and how I approach the upcoming years. I recommend it for all female runners reaching a milestone age such as 30, 40, 50, or 60. It reminds you how many, many more years you have ahead! - 2006 Participant The RunVermont camp left such a lasting impression on me. My soul feels cleansed. My legs feel energized. My spirit refreshed! I just feel a renewed radiance that is difficult to explain. - 2006 Participant This was such a positive experience for me as a new runner! The camp seems devoted to cultivating a community of runners (rather than catering to an elite crowd of experienced athletes). The coaches were patient, kind and smart. The quality of instruction was very high. I'm really impressed by the expertise of everyone associated with this camp. Many thanks! - 2005 Participant The camp was fantastic - such a wonderful opportunity to meet so many cool women who are able to balance their personal lives, work and fitness. I liked the small number of campers and the personalized attention - it truly exceeded my expectations. I have reconnected with running and feel now that I'll do even more to care for my health - all because of you guys. I feel grounded and excited all at once! -2005 Participant
Utterly impressed with coaches and staff- their dedication and openness and willingness to share. Has made a huge positive impact on how I think about my running. -2005 Participant
---------------2004 FEEDBACK---------- I had to let you know how much I truly enjoyed running camp. It was such a positive experience, and I learned so much. Everyone involved added something unique...I wanted to learn techniques to run faster, prevent injury, meet other runners and have fun! All of these goals were met and, in fact, the whole experience exceeded my expectations...thank you all for a truly memorable week! - L.B. New Jersey I learned so much in one week, and I can't wait for next year!...Rather than being intimidated or feeling competitive, this environment was so supportive regardless of one's skill level. While I am sad that it is ending, I am motivated, educated, and inspired. - A.D. Vermont It (the camp) not only helped increase my motivation for running and got me to run my first ever race, but I also learned a lot about all sorts of things from psychology to stretching to track workouts etc. All very useful. Thanks for doing this. - B.K. Vermont Truly LOVED it, really!! Covered mind and body issues which made the experience feel very rounded. Coaches were excellent!... Felt like I came away from camp renewed, enthused, with a usable plan, and references to help me remember everything. - C.A. Vermont As a beginning runner, it has helped me get started with good habits and tools. It is very inspiring as well to be surrounded by such a great group of women who are so willing to share their talents. It's more than a camp and had really made a difference in my life. - S. M. New Jersey I've never been to camp before so this was a great experience. I enjoyed having so much to do and the encouragement I received was great! - M.C. New Hampshire
