Our 2024 course will feature two-loops of a 13.1-mile course, running through all the best spots of Burlington, Vermont. You'll race along the Church Street Marketplace and run along the beautiful Burlington Bike Path with epic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains!
This course is USATF Certified/Sanctioned and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Keep in mind that the X and Y axis of the course elevation chart tend to over-emphasize both the uphills and downhills. The M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon course is mostly flat with some rolling sections. The biggest uphill, mile 5.8-6.9 and 18.9-20.0, gains about 120' of elevation, and is followed by a flat mile. The VCM has traditionally been one of the fastest marathons in the country, with far more sub 2:30, sub 3:00, and sub 4:00 finishes than would be expected at a race of this size.
