Kids stretch in preparation for the fun run
RunVermont’s Ready, Set, Run! Program hosted its Annual Shelburne Farms Fun Run on Sunday, September 9. WOW!! What a beautiful day in a gorgeous setting along Lake Champlain with lots of fun, sun, yummy post-race Shelburne Farms Cheese and apple cider, and a record number of happy families.
All children had the opportunity to participate (with or without their parents) in a ½-mile, 1-mile or 1.5-mile race. After the race everyone gathered for a raffle drawing with prizes provided by Chira Orthodontics, the SkiRack and RunVermont.
Register now for our next great Ready, Set, Run! Kids run at the Catamount Family Center in Williston, VT on September 23 at 1pm. This will be a ½, 1 or 1.5 mile trail run for children ages 4 -12 with more fantastic raffle prizes family fun.
Registration for the 2012-2013 12-week Ready, Set, Run! activity, nutrition and citizenship program will open in December.
