You know the days (or weeks) that go like this:
You’re sick.
It’s grey out.
The weather can’t quite decide if it wants to be December or May.
Whereas you typically bound out of bed in the morning, for the past few mornings you’ve haven’t felt ‘awake’ until 10:42 a.m.
Maybe you’re even feeling a little sorry for yourself.
Here’s a little inspiration:
Finding Traction Trailer from Partnership Productions on Vimeo.
After I saw that clip I wanted more. Here’s what I learned.
Finding Traction is being produced an Emmy Award-winning production team composed of filmmakers from Bozeman-based Fours Five Productions, ColorBURN Productions and MontanaPBS. “Nikki is one of the most inspiring women we know. Her endless courage, tenacity and drive to go after her goals is fascinating and awe-inspiring. After learning about Nikki’s plans to break a speed record on the Long Trail, we knew this was a film we had to make,” said Producer/Director Jaime Jacobsen.
A crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo is currently underway to raise $30,000 for the post-production of the documentary. The film’s Indiegogo campaign will run until December 15, 2012. For information on how to contribute, visit: http://www.indiegogo.com/FindingTractionFilm.
Finding Traction will be broadcast on PBS and submitted to the film festivals across the country in Summer 2013. Community screenings will take place throughout the states of Vermont and Montana, and in other key locations in New York, California, Colorado and Utah.
