Thanks to everyone who came out to help clean up the course on Saturday! Your efforts were greatly appreciated both by RunVermont and Burlington Parks and Rec. Repairs on the course are underway, and we remain confident that the only detour required will be at Perkins Pier where runners will divert from the bikepath and pass behind the VT Railways headquarters before returning to the bikepath just a short distance later.
As promised here, an updated course map detailing the small detour at Perkins Pier is now available. Additionally, we have new Start Area (Battery Park), Finish Area (Waterfront Park) and 2-Person Relay Exchange (Oakledge Park) maps to share with you!
All the maps are available for download as part of the Runner and Guest handbook (updated 5/21/11).
First, the revised course map:
The Start Area: Please note the new location for Baggage (in the bandshell). And, a reminder that if you were approved for access to the preferred corral, you will enter the corral from the south. All other runners will enter the general corral from the north.
Waterfront Park: Runners, please plan to meet your family in friends in the Reunion Zone then head to the north end of the park to find the Runners Food Tent, Baggage Tent, Beer Tent, KeyDome, food vendors and much more! Hotel shuttle buses are available on Park Street, just to the east of the park.
Running the 2-Person Relay? Here is a map of the Exchange Zone at Oakledge Park:
Please let us know if you have any questions about the maps or where to find the services you’re looking for!
