Back in February we announced that this year we’re mixing it up a bit when it comes to our annual poster…instead of seeking out an artist to create a poster for the 23rd Annual KeyBank Vermont City Marathon, we invited everyone – professional and amateur artists, designers and photographers – to put their creative talents to use an create a submission for the first KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Poster Design Competition.
We received over thirty submissions and the RunVermont Marketing Committee evaluated each poster based on its uniqueness, reflection of the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon, marketability and appropriateness and then sat down to the unenviable task of narrowing the field to a group of five finalists.
The five finalists are presented below. The voting period is open Thursday, March 17-Friday, March 25, 2011. If you’re on Facebook, you can vote for your favorite poster on the RunVermont fan page, Contest section. If Facebook isn’t your thing, vote here. Make sure to tell your friends to vote, too! (You can only vote once, so choose wisely!)
The winning poster will be exhibited and sold at the Sport and Fitness EXPO and the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon. In addition, KeyBank will donate $1000 in the winning artist’s name to the Vermont non-profit of his/her choice.
Please note, although you are welcome to comment below, we are only accepting votes through the two links provided above!
