Congratulations to Mary W. who won last week’s GIVEAWAY for a KeyBank Vermont City Marathon running jacket! I am a little heartened to know that few of you regularly sleep in your running duds.
So, for the past few days (er, weeks maybe?) I’ve been a doing a dance.
A snow dance.
And you know what?
It appears to have worked.
There’s a storm coming.
According to the latest forecast* northern Vermont is expected to get between 12-18 inches of snow before Saturday morning.
*Or not, now the storm has been downgraded for the north country, but heck, I’ll be thrilled with a 5″.
Yes, the fact that we haven’t had snow for weeks has done good things for my running (and it would have been even better if the plague hadn’t finally come knocking at my door), but it’s time. It’s time to get back on the hill and ski and ride and call it cross-training.
My excitement about the snow has me a bit distracted. So much so that when I went looking for something in the way of a motivational quote to share with you today I got completely sidetracked by at least 20 minutes perusing the motivational posters on Runner’s World. I knew about these posters, but hadn’t see the whole line-up before.
Here are two I found particularly appropriate for this February Thursday:
