in Giveaway Thursday!

Congratulations to Adam who won last week’s GIVEAWAY THURSDAY.

If you entered the GIVEAWAY last week you know that we were giving away a THREE HOUR playlist of hits from 1989. Adam will receive that list as a complete iTunes download, but the rest of you don’t really do so poorly either. You can listen to the entire list right here on Spotify (only the first few tracks will show initially; click “show more tracks” to see the entire list).

Today we’re giving away another one of our very popular KBVCM running jackets! The jacket comes in men’s and women’s sizes in three different colors (blue, red and black).

We recently read a post on the Run Like a Mother Facebook page suggesting that many a woman sleeps in her running gear so she’s ready to go first thing in the morning. Whoa. Honestly? Never occurred to me.  So tell us: Male or female…do you ever sleep in your running gear?

PLEASE NOTE: In order to claim extra entries for Tweeting or FB’ing the GIVEAWAY, you must follow the rules below. Thank you!

The GIVEAWAY closes at 11:59pm Wednesday, February 6; we’ll announce the winner on Thursday, February 7.

The rules/fine print:

After long runs I often sleep in my compression socks and feel rejuvenated in the morning. In the hot and humid summer I will sleep in my running shorts since they are light and keep me cool. Likewise, in the winter, I’ll wear my base layer to bed simply because it’s warm comfortable yet moisture wicking. I spend a fair amount of $$$ of running gear, so why no harness the clothing technology when dreaming about running?!

I run primarily in the evenings, so that is of no use to me. Sometimes when I get home I feel like jumping right in bed, but I never would.

No! Your rest time needs to be your rest time… Not planning for the next time you run. : ) I pack my running gear the night before and grab my bag on my way out the door to work. After work I change into my running gear right away and head out the door. This routine keeps me motivated and on track for training. I have no excuse not to hit the road if I have everything on hand and ready to go! This is how I “Get. It. Done.” Happy running!

I shared on Twitter (@jessiea) that YES! I do sleep in my running clothes when I know I’m running in the morning. Getting up at 5 AM, the shorter and easier I can make my routine, the more likely I am to stick with it.

I do not sleep in my running clothes, but I did read that post and thought it was a great idea!

60 Jessie January 31, 2013 at 11:34 pm

I have never slept in my running clothes…probably won’t try it, either. Not that comfortable for a woman!

81 Emily February 3, 2013 at 1:39 pm

Nope – though once in a while I’ll sleep in compression socks!

82 John Strout February 4, 2013 at 9:56 am

I have never slept in my running clothes but I have them all set out so I don’t have to fumble around in the dark.

I shared this on facebook

84 Rick February 5, 2013 at 10:55 am

It has never crossed my mind to sleep in my running clothes. I don’t wake up fast enough in the morning for me not to have enough time to get dressed.

I sleep in my running stuff in the summer, but I can’t in the winter. I live in New England so in the winter I run in pretty heavy under armor cold gear compression pants and long sleeve shirt… sleeping with that on gets way to warm at night.

I have come close to sleeping in running gear to be ready to go, but have done ok with leaving by my bedside to head out quick for early morning running.
