We are three weeks out from the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Race Weekend and the pace is picking up around here for sure!

The folks at Hoka want to sponsor a KBVCM Relay Team and we need people to fill it!

It can be a 2 person or 3-5 person team.

Who wants in?

If you are interested, let us know the reason why you want the team in the comments section below.

If you get chosen as The Official Hoka One One Team at the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon you will be given the team and a super cool Hoka tech shirt to wear during the event.

Let’s get this party started!

We will announce the winner on Monday, May 5.

My husband is running the marathon in an attempt to requalify for Boston. He ran Boston in 2012 during the horrible heat and was unable to run a time that would allow him to run in 2013. After the tragedy in 2013 he wanted to run Boston again and trained for VCM. He fought off an achilles injury to run Vermont in 2013 trying to qualify. He was not successful in qualifying then, but is now healthy and ready to give it a shot this year. We tried to get a relay team so that our two sons could run with him and support his efforts, making this a nice family weekend. We also have another couple traveling with us and one of them is scheduled to run the marathon but is injured. If we could get a team, our sons, myself and our friend could run legs along with my husband to support him in his quest for another Boston marathon.

This was a tough winter for running, but with the help of a core group of running mates I logged more off-season miles than ever before. All of us in the group have seen our race times drop dramatically, just since Fall. Our Monday night group runs give us the opportunity to trade weekend race stories and look forward to the next. The peer support has been invaluable.

I would love to see our group run as a true “team”, and the VCM relay is one of the few local options for 5 people. Unfortunately we were not selected in the lottery, but we’d be happy to represent Hoka – thanks for sponsoring this opportunity!

I met my girlfriend in a local running group and one of our first marathons we ran together from beginning to end was the Vermont City Marathon. I think it really says a lot about our relationship. Neither of us leave the other behind and support each other as much as we can despite our arguements.

We enjoyed ourselves so much! Despite the downpour and chilly weather we made the best of it. We would love to do the relay together :)

The simple truth of it is that the two of us just love to run and have a lot of fun doing it. I would especially like to do this relay because I am considering proposing at the end of the race and could not think of a better moment than at the end of Vermont. She has no idea I’m writing this comment. Hope we get picked!

I have been out of the running world for the last 10 years, but recently got motivated to get back into it when I was asked to run a leg of the marathon with a 5 person relay team to raise money for brain tumor research (a topic near and dear to my heart). I joined a local walk/run group and over the last 8 weeks have been working hard to build up the strength and endurance to run. I have made gains I never thought I would and broken through lots of mental barriers. I just ran my first 5k today and it was such a great moment and feeling of accomplishment when I crossed the finish line!!
I found out two weeks ago that the relay team I was planning on running with is not going to happen for various reasons… It was such a disappointment for me and I have been looking to join a relay team and to be a part of this wonderful event. I grew up in VT, but have been in NH for the last 15 years. It is such an exciting race and I would love to be a part of it now that I am back in the community.
Thanks for this opportunity and I hope you pick me!

Hello,

I have done the Marathon the last 3 years as a part of a relay team and am originally from Burlington VT! My Boyfriend has a endurance Team Six03 in NH and is always looking for great shoes, I bought him his first Hoka ones for Christmas and loves your shoes and promotes them anytime he runs, most recently at the Wallis sands half last weekend, best sneaker for long distance runs!

This year I missed the lottery for a two person relay and are trying to get more members to come and run in this awesome event!

Thanks!
