RunVermont

Become a Volunteer

Overview

RunVermont produces and supports several races and events throughout the year.  Our greatest need for volunteers is during the month of May, and specifically during the days leading up to and including the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Weekend (Memorial Day weekend each year), however we also need volunteers through the year for our smaller events and for office work.

KeyBank Vermont City Marathon and MVP Health Care YAM Scram Volunteers:

Volunteers work in a variety of areas, from race packet stuffing, race packet pick-up, course monitors, kids' running festival, crowd control and more. All volunteers receive:
          • an official 2013 KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Volunteer T-shirt
          • a ticket to a Lake Monsters game
          • a $5 Bueno y Sano coupon
          • an entry to the KBVCM volunteer raffle.
Drawings for great prizes from local sponsors every Friday beginning March 15, 2013.

Please follow these steps to register as a volunteer:
1. Read the ***KBVCM JOB DESCRIPTIONS*** and determine which opportunities are of greatest interest to you.

2. After selecting "KBVCM 2013" as your event of interest, a form listing available opportunities and times will appear. Complete the form below in its entirety. If you would like to volunteer with a member of your family, please complete one form per volunteer.  For volunteers under age 18, please include the age.  If you are volunteering as part of a group, pease indicate your Group Name in the notes section.

3. Within one week, you will receive an email with information about your assignment(s) and the contact information for a Race Committee member.  The Race Committee member will be in touch with you (usually via email)  to provide additional details.  If you have questions about the specifics of your assignment, please do not hesitate to contact the Race Committee member.

4. After you receive your assignment, log in to the Volunteer Information Portal (log in details provided in your assignment confirmation email) and download all forms associated with your assignment(s).

4. If you have general questions or wish to change your assignment, please
email Lisa or call her at 802-863-8412.

KeyBank Vermont City Marathon Race Committee:
The 75-member KBVCM Race Committee is the backbone of the Marathon.  Race Committee members are responsible for every element of the race from planning and executing the Sport and Fitness EXPO to coordinating Runner's Food, making midnight supply deliveries, recruiting and training INFO volunteers, to organizing course monitors along the entire 26.2 mile course.  If you're passionate about the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon, and you're organized, committed to excellence and available Memorial Day weekend, please
email Lisa about your interests.

All-Volunteer Night at the Vermont Lake Monsters
Everyone who has ever volunteered for the marathon in its 25 year history is invited to join us for a celebration at the Vermont Lake Monsters.  Pre-registration is required.
