RunVermont offers a 10-week training program for youth ages 11-16 from local schools and youth centers. Junior Youth Relay (JYR) participants begin training in March to run on a relay team in the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon and Relay held over Memorial Day Weekend.
Relay participants learn about all aspects of running, from dressing for the weather, proper nutrition, fulfilling commitments to team work, setting goals, and of course, having fun.
