Running With It

I'm new to lotteries and relays, I was wondering how many lottery applicants are you expecting for the 2 person team and the 2-5 person relays for the 2011 run? will the team in training sponser relay runners? how many tnt relay spots will there be?

Our lottery applicants vary from year to year, but there is always more demand than we're able to supply. Team In Training does not have any relay teams for KBVCM-marathon slots only! Some of our other Miles For A Mission charity partners do have relay slots. Click the "Run For A Cause" tab on our main website for details on which charity partners have relay teams available.

I've just registered for the 2-person relay lottery. I don't think there was a specific sign-up for the "masters" division, but since my age is part of the application and I'm over 40, am I automatically put in that division? My relay partner is also over 40.

Thanks for writing Chris. It is not important to specify a division when signing up for the relay lottery. After teams are chosen in the lottery all Captains will be contacted to submit full information for their teams. That's when we get all the data we need to sort out who races in each division.
