What does "Unplugged" Mean?

This event is an organized, basic services, running event. You won't see 30,000 spectators like the KBVCM, or hear bands along the way, but you WILL experience a scenic, very flat, half marathon run along with 400 of your running friends.

**Note: As of April 1, 2008 the course has changed.  Please read details below. **

at Flynn Dog off  Flynn Ave., Burlington, VT

Race Start: 9:00am SHARP

Start/Finish Location

 

Due to the amount of snow and ice on the bikepath, the 2008 course will start AND finish at 208 Flynn Ave (Flynn Dog). The course will follow an out-and-back route. There will be no bus service, as there is ample parking near the building, on teh street and at Oakledge Park.

Please be prepared for an icy section on the course near the halfway mark.

Course:

The course begins at 208 Flynn Ave.  You will travel towards the lake on Flynn Ave and in to Oakledge park, turning left on the bike path. The course follows the bike path to Austin Drive, then turns right and completes the South Cove Loop. The course returns to the bike path and follows it north past Waterfront Park, North Beach and Leddy Park.  The course turns around at Shore Road and travels back on the bike path to Austin Drive.  Runners will do a second South Cove Loop, return to the bike path through Oakledge Park and then on to Flynn Ave, ending at 208 Flynn Ave.

 

We do not offer refunds for this event. For this event, we will honor transfers if you know of a person who would like to run in your place. Please notify us if this is the case ASAP. THEY MUST REGISTER IN OUR OFFICE THURSDAY OR FRIDAY  FROM 9AM - 4PM OR SATURDAY MORNING AT PACKET PICK-UP prior to 8:30am.
